At ACS, we believe children learn best when they are curious, engaged, and joyful. Our interdisciplinary units are built around meaningful questions that invite inquiry and connect learning across subjects, helping students see how ideas work together rather than in isolation.
Our curriculum is guided by internationally recognized American standards and frameworks, Common Core (Literacy and Mathematics), Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and the C3 Framework for Social Studies. These standards set clear expectations for each subject and grade level, and our teachers bring them together through interdisciplinary units that connect learning in meaningful ways.
As students build strong foundations in core subjects, they also develop our Approaches to Learning (AtLs): responsibility, collaboration, self-directed learning, and global citizenship. Our units intentionally connect to the United Arab Emirates, helping students understand the history, culture, environment, and future vision of our host country while exploring their role in the wider world.
Through this integrated approach, students grow as confident learners who think deeply, act responsibly, and apply their learning in meaningful ways.
