Approaches to Learning

During their time in school, the Approaches to Learning acquired by students may end up being as important or of even greater importance than the content learning itself.

At ACS, we believe that Approaches to Learning develop over time through purposeful modeling and guided practice.

These skills provide a solid foundation for lifelong learning, both independently and with others.

Teachers integrate Approaches to Learning into their students' daily experiences.  They work collaboratively with students, parents, and other teachers to help students practice and deepen these trans-disciplinary skills.

The ACS K-12 Approaches to Learning are:

Collaboration

Responsibility

Citizenship

Self-Directed Learning
