We know that the skills students use as learners, such as how they work with others, take responsibility, stay curious, and contribute to their community, often matter just as much as the academic content itself. These Approaches to Learning (AtLs) help students become confident, capable learners in school and beyond. Students develop these skills over time, with teachers modeling them, guiding practice, and creating opportunities for them to be used meaningfully on a daily basis.
